Energizing Protein Smoothie

This blood-sugar balancing protein smoothie will keep you energized and full for hours.

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water or coconut milk, almond milk
  • 1 serving vanilla or chocolate protein powder I like Promix, Truvani,
  • 1 tsp spirulina or 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 TBSP almond butter or an all natural nut/seed butter
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 handful frozen strawberries
  • 1/2-1 cup frozen wild bluberries can use any frozen blueberries but wild has more nutrients

Instructions
 

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  • Pour into your favorite glass or to-go cup.

Notes

This makes enough to fill a large Yeti type cup or 2 pint glasses. You can also make this before you head to work or out for the day and save it for later in a temperature controlled cup
